UPJES holds Third National Youth Leadership Camp Are you the next CNN Hero of the year? The University of the Philippines Junior Executive Society invites high school students and young leaders to participate in its National Youth Leadership Camp which will be held on July 23-25 at UP Los Baños. Now on its third run, NYLC continues to help mold and empower the young generation into becoming socially aware and active citizens. This year, inspired by the stories of volunteers, NYLC focuses on spreading the volunteerism spirit and helping young people create a greater impact in the society. The three-day leadership event includes theme discussions, team building activities, media corner workshops, socials night, and an immersion activity at a local barangay. A Skills Marketplace will also help build up participants’ skills on project management, marketing events, time management and effective presentations. A registration fee of P3,800 which covers for 3 days-2 nights accommodations, event materials and local transportation will be levied to all participants. An early bird rate of PhP 3,500 is available until July 2, 2010. NYLC is organized by the UP Junior Executive Society in partnership with the British Council Global Changemakers and the National Youth Commission.
